My first home is New England, my second is the Spanish Speaking world. During my college years I was fortunate enough to study abroad in Spain at the University of Granada. I also participated in volunteer trips to Honduras. Once graduating I served in the Peace Corps and lived with a local family in rural Nicaragua for two and a half years. I've been returning ever since to secure on-going projects in the community, serving as the translator for the volunteer groups I orchestrate.

Upon receiving my TEFL certification I moved first to Machala, Ecuador, and then to Quito. I lived with a local family and taught English to students and professionals of varying levels. Stateside, I have taught high school Spanish in New Hampshire for 5 years and also have experience working with preschoolers and elementary students as well.  Currently I have branched off to teach on my own. I love being a language teacher and am passionate about helping my students find joy and success in the endeavor.
